Is this some place you really want to go?
Is this some place you would want your loved ones or friends to go?
A lot of people think they experience hell right here on earth. I want those people to know, that the “bad” things that go on here on earth, have nothing to do with God. God did give man free will. Free will to make the choices that he makes on his own. Which means one individual has the choice to do what he chooses-whether it be good or bad. Each individual has the choice to be a Christian, or not to be a Christian.
BUT…
Because God did give man that choice, He also gets blamed for everything that goes wrong in everyone’s life. First of all, is that really a fair judgment on God? NO! Why, you ask, because if God did put His finger on every problem, every incident, every accident, how would we grow? How would we learn? How would we discover what God’s plan for us is or ever would be? How would we learn to have FAITH? How would we ever learn to trust Him?
God does use the bad situations sometimes to catch our attention.
He will also turn something bad into something good. We are God’s children, and just like any other parent, He has to teach us “lessons” We don’t always like what goes on in our personal life, but do you really think after God has created the earth, the heavens, the life on this planet, animals, and man, Do you really think HE is happy with the way man has been? So, just like any parent, yes, He will punish us, or catch our attention, or maybe even teach us a lesson or two.
But, He also rewards us! And we should be thankful. Just as our children are thankful when we teach them. Children cannot understand when they are young why we say “NO”, “You are grounded”, “this is a good lesson for you to learn”, “maybe next time you will think about what you are doing” etc- But when they grow up and mature, then they see why and understand. God is a loving God, He wants every single one of us in Heaven. But you have to be a Christian to go to Heaven.
God loves us. He loves us so much He gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins, so that we could have everlasting life. Now, Could YOU do that? In all honesty here, I don’t think I could. I do not think I could give up my only child for a bunch of ungrateful sinners. Yes, we are all born sinners, but we can be washed in the blood of Jesus, who died to forgive our sins, and become a whole new person.
Now, don’t misunderstand me here, Christians still sin too. I sin every single day, and although I don’t mean to, it still happens. The difference between Christians and non-Christians is we are forgiven.
When I pray before I go to bed every night, the very first thing I say ~~ “Father, thank you for this beautiful day you have given to me. I ask your grace and forgiveness for any and all sins I have done today.” Then I go on with the rest of my prayer. I don’t ask to much for myself, just maybe that He watch over my health, or I sometimes ask for patience, but I always pray for someone else. I always thank Him for all that He has given me, as well as what He has not given me. Also for even the tiniest blessing He has bestowed upon me, and or my family.
When you are A Christian, things are so much more in focus as to what is a blessing and what is not. I was shopping in Sam’s with my hubby, and we were looking for the latest Left Behind book (The Mark), well, while we were looking around, this wonderful Christian lady started talking to us-we stood there for an hour and a half talking to this wonderful woman, we shared testimonies, and just had the most fulfilling fellowship. She is married to a non-Christian man, and has been praying for him for 20 years! We were so blessed by meeting her. Now, to someone who isn’t a Christian, they wouldn’t see the blessing in that, but she touched us, and we touched her, and we will meet again in Heaven one day! I love to talk to people about Jesus and our Father. So, I, like most Christians consider it a blessing when two total strangers meet, can praise the Lord for an hour and a half together, then go on their merry way.
I would much rather be in Heaven with my brothers and sisters, than to be in hell with the devil. There is nothing on this earth that can happen to you that even comes close to what hell will be like. No matter what we go through here on earth, the rewards we receive in Heaven will make it all worth it.
I can say that with all sincerity, because my husband and I have gone through and are still going through overwhelming trials. But, we both still have faith. And as hard as it is for me to do this, I do pray for the person whom has caused many of our trials. That is a very hard thing for me to do, but I do it. I also ask for forgiveness, because it isn’t something I want to do, it is something that my Father commands me to do. I also have to forgive this person. Which I do try to drag my heals on that, too.
But I know that if I don’t forgive, then my Father will not forgive me.
So, you see, just because I am a Christian, does not by any means mean I am perfect. I am not. I am still a sinner, even though I love Jesus, and my Father, even though I try to live He wants me to live, I still have to repent and ask for forgiveness. Not wanting to forgive IS a sin. Not wanting to pray for her IS a sin. Because I am then passing judgment, and the devil is trying to make me have bad thoughts. (and don’t think for a minute the devil won’t try to take full advantage of a situation, because he will-it doesn’t matter how minute it is-he is ready to just jump right in and take over)
I don’t hang out with people who aren’t Christians. I will witness whenever I get the chance. I do know a lot of people who aren’t Christians, but it isn’t healthy for a Christian to “hang out” with a bunch of non-Christians. I would never be unkind to them, or say ugly things about them; I cannot force anyone to be a Christian, and wouldn’t even try to do that. Making that choice has to come from the individual who is making the choice, no one else.
I can help lead them to Christ, but that is where it stops, I cannot make that choice for them, or force them to make that choice. But, I do not want to be around someone who doesn’t want to glorify God constantly. I am not saying I only associate with Christians, because then I couldn’t witness to anyone. It has to be balanced to the right proportions.
